My citrus new growth has some aphids on it and this lady beetle was doing clean up.
I didn't notice the lady-bug poop until I looked at the photo zoomed in. Yuck. ------------------------- surf forecast |

Cool!
I've also never noticed how a lady beetle can retract their heads like a turtle. See that first photo where the head is extended? ------------------------- surf forecast |

Cool! I've also never noticed how a lady beetle can retract their heads like a turtle. See that first photo where the head is extended? We noticed that as well. Reminded me of the necks on those crazy looking turtles in the pond at Gleason Park. What kind of camera are you using? That close up is much better than what a human eye can offer... Thanks again for sharing! ------------------------- Brevard Surf Report |
