Dave, what happened to the seeds you had last year?

When Bill and I went birding in Thailand in January, we went to the place where they fed the bird with Armorphophallus seeds. At first I didn't know what they were, they looked like baby banana stalk from a distance but the lady who owned the place told us what they were. Here are a couple of pictures I took.

Most of the seed germinated (volunteered) where it dropped below the seed stalk. they are coming up now as well.

I believe that is a Stripe-throated Bulbul, but Ned probably can confirm that!!!

Here is the plant opened up more.





It is an interesting plant to grow. Pretty easy. just needs water. goes dormant in winter. Every so often it opens up with a killer looking flower (which I haven't seen yet).
