Dave, what happened to the seeds you had last year?
When Bill and I went birding in Thailand in January, we went to the place where they fed the bird with Armorphophallus seeds. At first I didn't know what they were, they looked like baby banana stalk from a distance but the lady who owned the place told us what they were. Here are a couple of pictures I took.

Most of the seed germinated (volunteered) where it dropped below the seed stalk. they are coming up now as well.

What kind of bird is that? I believe that is a Stripe-throated Bulbul, but Ned probably can confirm that!!! |

Here is the plant opened up more.
It is an interesting plant to grow. Pretty easy. just needs water. goes dormant in winter. Every so often it opens up with a killer looking flower (which I haven't seen yet). ------------------------- surf forecast |
