Does anyone know of a source of seed for this tree? Is anyone growing the tree hereabouts?

Hi John, I think I have what you're looking for...........my little tree bloomed in January and now have a lot of green beans which eventually will turn brown and have seeds in side.

Yes, Lek, that's it. Not only the flowers but the 5-leaf arrangement shows this is a Tabebuia. Let me know when the seeds are ripe and I'll come get them. Thank you!

The seeds germinate very easily. I think as soon as the pod splits open, the seeds are viable. ------------------------- |

John, I looked at the beans today and they're turning brown. When they break open, I'll save them for you. I probably can mail you the seeds in the envelope, unless you're coming up to Merritt Island.....feel free to stop by. E-mail me and let me know.

Sparky, thanks for the offer. What Sawatdee has already said she could give me should be enough. I know from my yellow Tabebuia umbellata that one tree can produce thousands of seeds. I don't need all that many from the pink tree.

Lek- I'll take some of those seeds as well if you have extras Those bromeliads with the pink hanging flowers you gave me last year are blooming in my trees and look great by the way- wanted to take some pictures today, but so far a rainy day.. not complaining though! ------------------------- Exotica Tropicals Plant NurseryBrevard Florida |

Brian, the pink tabuie seeds are ready to be picked now. I'll mail them to you and John Kennedy, unless you want to pick them up.
The Bromeliad you mentioned must be Aechmea 'Forster's favorite' with the rust/green color leaves, mine also has a lot of flowers hanging from the pot. |
