DMS will be having another gardenfest on April 16th from 9-2PM. Proceeds will continue to support the relandscaping effort at DMS. If you have not been by DMS recently you will not even recognize the campus. A total of 5 grants have been awarded not to mention donations and proceeds from this event. Come tour the campus to see all the palms, butterfly gardens, and native plants that have been planted.

This year will feature 2 new vendors that will have a variety of native plants, dessert rose and ponytail palms. The usuals will also be ther with palms and fruit trees. If anyone is interested in anything in particular we can request it from the nursery.

I plan on picking up some natives grasses and flowers to add interest to my mostly edible landscape.

Any of the vendors send in the lists of what they will have yet?
It is nice to research the plant ahead of time to see if it works in your yard

Who is bringing what?  I am planning to make the trip from the inland to this event again.

Looking to replace some bromeliads again and some interesting Dypsis - hint hint!

If you guys remember, this is the annual sale that stemmed off my backyard plant sale a few years back. I had to stop doing the backyard sale as if anyone who has hosted one knows it is a lot of work.

Delaura has offered a pretty good venue for this plant sale. It is right there on the main thorough fare of Satellite and there is a lot of drive-by traffic. Its been cool to see this annual sale develop into what it is.

The school is really benefitting from this and it is one of their main fundraisers. So, if you live in the area or have kids that go to Delaura then support it. The more the school makes the more it gets to landscape and make the area look beautiful. The Satellite/Delaura area has kind of been an eyesore the past decade but epicsurf along with the other volunteers have it starting to look really good.

This is something to be proud of and 20 years from now you can drive by and look at whatever survives and say, "I helped plant that tree!".

Also, as a fyi, the new Principal at Delaura is a farm girl and her parents own an exotic palm nursery down near lake Ocheechobie. She put me to shame the last volunteer work day there and could threw more mulch then me!!!

Epic-

I've got a few things I can bring to the sale this Saturday.. not the big heliconia selection I used to have (babying my clumps back this year)

But got some sunshine trees, crinums lilies, including variegated, etc

Let me know if there's still some room for vendor..

Anybody else have a list of 'For Sale' plants?  Want to make sure there is something for me before I make the long trip.
