my friends always seem to catch them but yesterday was my turn.

fishing a wreck about 30 miles out of jacksonville got one on my jig on the drop!

Wasnt big as far as they go but a keeper and a lot of fun to catch and look at, maybe 15-20lbs.

the run in was very bumpy and little wet as the west wind made a VERY SHORT period wind chop about 2-3'.

also got plenty of the "stringer fish" bees, porgy, seabass, two nice trigger a couple throw back aj's and red snaps.

Nice yours was a big one! Hopefully more to come given we cant keep red snaps, mangos and muttons allude me, and divers seemed to have shot every legal gag inside of 130'!

most the guys I fish with target triggers, bees, seabass and porgys which are all well and good but I wanna pull on something that pulls back haha so always trying something different while they drop their chicken rigs

I'll never get one out of Canaveral, I'll describe why below.

1st drop, red snapper

2nd drop, red snapper

3rd drop, red snapper

4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, red snapper

10th drop, Amberjack

11th, wait there is no 11th. After the AJ the rod goes into the rod holder and I sit an bitch about the pesky red snapper.

I was right.

Haha no kidding my buddy got a red snapper that was every bit of 25lbs on a chicken rig with a tiny piece of squid, and we have chummed them up in 125' of water it is out of control.
