100 pound test and 80 pounds of drag + mega jack = hilarious, when you aren't the one fighting it.

20 pounds of endangered ARS - in 60 feet of water.

The sharks were so think we couldn't get a fish off the bottom, but the piggyback Cobia made up for it.

Great Day!  I love cobia, big fish, solid fight and great eating.

Things got real interesting when the giant Bull Sharks would grab the fish we were fighting. I about got jerked out of the boat on one and a rod exploded on another.

Grunts and Spanish Sardines.

I stripped out the jack and we got several Reds, Lanes and some fat Sea bass on the cut stuff, along with about 10 of those pecker-head Sharpnose Sharks.

Nice haul. Very nice.

Check the Do not eat fish list. Cobia are number one on it because of all the toxins they consume!

Larger fish are the danger when it comes to Mercury poisoning.

But thanks for the warning. Looks like the big fish are now going to be the lucky ones.

Nice report and pics! We used to call those big jacks hour jacks because it took an hour for a customer to fight on kingfish tackle and light drag....but with your set up I would call them a liability! Nice work on the cobes!
