Found this in my bucket after cast netting bait today in the Banana River. It looks like a sea horse but doesn't swim like one (tail stays straight). Sea dragon maybe?

My buddy says it's a Pipefish. Never seen one before - the river is always surprising me.

Yep, its a pipe fish. They are related to the seahorse (or in that family). Don't see those too often anymore, but they are usually in/around fairly shallow grassy areas.

Nice going..they do have a deadly TOXIN slime on their tail so do not come in contact with it!!!
