Has anyone fished with butterfly jigs?
Results? Techniques? |

Everything eats them, from grouper and snapper to tuna and wahoo.
And when I say wahoo eat them, I'm not kidding. You know you had one strike when your line goes limp and your $18 Shimano jig is no longer. Same for King Fish. ------------------------- I was right. |

Different shapes do different things. Some require a lot of work on the anglers part, others spin on the drop.
I find they usually get hit when you are least expecting it. ------------------------- I was right. |

What about in the surf and just past the breakers? Hoping to get out in the yak after this surf calms down some.

I've been thinking about it and really have no idea. Can't hurt to try.
