I've been hitting the river early then hitting the beach after...around 9am.  No luck recently.  What artificials have been working for you guys the last week or two?  So far I've been striking out on the beach.  I'm thinking about hitting it at dawn in the AM.  So far the mullet run for me has been a bust.  Thanks.

Sweet!  I'll probably give it a shot in the morning.  It will be near low tide I guess, but still worth a shot.

Get a live mullet and take a pair of scissors and cut a third out of tail. Hook underneath the dorsal and let him swim. The cut tail means he wiggles it more and generates more movement and therefore more interest. It also slows him down when the school flees.

Def go early or late, unless it is an overcast day

We have been going in Indialantic about a hour before dark. You can narrow down even further til 15 minutes before sundown and the switch turns on out there. I still haven't caught any keepers.. Jack, Ladyfish, Blues, and alot of broken off lines from sharks. Tarpon are everywhere though, just can't catch them.

I've been wading every evening in Cocoa Beach with the bucktail and nothing but a hit or two. I did step on what felt like a large flounder and saw a solid snook in 8 inches of water, plus the mid break lefts have been fun to watch, so it's still been worth the effort.

Purist with the bucktail, maybe bust out the old cast net!?

Blues jacks, and ladyfish have been hard to weed through up in NE FL but there are some reds, trout, and flounder in the mix.

That's work.

Sure, bait guys get more than me, but that's catching...I'm fishing.

Hahah Nice! I have friends who swear by the new Spoolteck lures, look a little hokey to me, ever tried one?

Also I think they are relatively pricey.....

Yeah , that line spooling out is kind of freaky. I like the rubber swim baits with the single hook at inlet, the up turned hook doesn't snag when you fish slow along the bottom and the paddle tail sinks slower than the bucktail.
