Really cool video and Dirty Heads to boot. Makes me want to get off my rump and do it.

Thank you. I paid my dues. Several skunk trips and trips of nothing but sharks but so long as you enjoy the scenery and consider catching a bonus, you can't lose. I love just being out there and taking it all in - I've never been out and not seen something cool. |

This morning it's barracuda. Sharks must have the day off.

Sick video, I took an SUP off the beach in Jax Saturday and all I can say is WOW.....acres of pogies with dozens of tarpon jumping, boiling, rolling, tailing!
But the kicker was the multiple dozens of SHARKS! small 3-4' and several 6-8' doing synchronized attacks on the pods. Almost made me paddle my scared lil buttback to shore when I saw a 8' shark doing doughnuts throwing water like 15' in the air! Could have easily knocked me off the board, or just swam up and grabbed me off lol. Catch wise the sharks beat the tarpon to the pogies every time, I need to be more patient and sight fish the rolling or tailing poons. Tried with plugs but after losing three to sharks headed for shore......paddling back into the offhsore wind was wayyy harder than i expected. Bc I can not cast net safely off the sup, I use a light rod with three droppers, and a 3oz weight at the bottom. On each dropper is a #4 trebble hook. Super easy to snag bait when thick, and transfer to a rod with floro and a circle hook, getting the snagged bait in before sharks get it is tough! ------------------------- I troll 2L.com to be a better person in real life |

Great catch. Did you get a scale?
