Went surf fishing tonight about 5pm to 7pm bait about 100yrds off beach getting killed by the tarpon. My first time seeing this and i was stoked. i was wondering what is the best approach to get hooked up on one. Spoon, bomber, buck hair jig? or live bait.

Hooked a fattie at playalinda on avlive mullet with the tail trim a lil bit today around 530, stripped off a lot of line and as soon as I put pressure the braid to mono knot broke...so try that!! Next time I'm bringing a daiwa sea line 50hsd spooled with a lot of line and my longboard so i can paddle it out..good luck

I tried NSB yesterday.  Nothing  no sign of bait.  Congrats.

Is that the parking lot just north of the light there?

checked it ouy today 11 - 3  a lot of bait but only saw 2 or 3 tarpon on the top of the water.  Nothing busting.  I did not go out due to the heat and i forgot my water jug.

Headed out Wed early morning to give it a shot. Hopefully the fish and bait will still be in that area.
