mashizzle Posts: 48 Joined: 01/11/2012	Went surf fishing tonight about 5pm to 7pm bait about 100yrds off beach getting killed by the tarpon. My first time seeing this and i was stoked. i was wondering what is the best approach to get hooked up on one. Spoon, bomber, buck hair jig? or live bait. -------------------------

SurfingSaltRaper Posts: 365 Joined: 03/12/2012	Hooked a fattie at playalinda on avlive mullet with the tail trim a lil bit today around 530, stripped off a lot of line and as soon as I put pressure the braid to mono knot broke...so try that!! Next time I'm bringing a daiwa sea line 50hsd spooled with a lot of line and my longboard so i can paddle it out..good luck ------------------------- I was a surfer I had a skateboard it was so epic now im a waste so wasted -Henry Rollins Black Flag

Kayakfred Posts: 4 Joined: 10/11/2010	checked it ouy today 11 - 3 a lot of bait but only saw 2 or 3 tarpon on the top of the water. Nothing busting. I did not go out due to the heat and i forgot my water jug.
