I'm going out of Jupiter this sat. (6/30/12) and wondering how, if at all, Debby may play into the bite, or lack thereof. Any info. and/or recent reports for offshore action between Lake Worth/Palm Beach inlet up through Jupiter will be greatly appreciated.

Jsurf91, were you just free-lining the livies? Stinger rigged, or single circle hooked? Wire, or no? Weighted, or no?

I answered my own questions from the previous post when I got this nice sailfish Saturday afternoon. It put on one hell of a show, jumping and dancing across the water several times, before I got it in the boat about 20 minutes after it was hooked and first jumped. Successful catch and release... perfectly circle hooked right in the corner of the mouth. Revived it for about 15 minutes before it started kicking and swam away.

Went out last Saturday out of Boynton Inlet at 8 am. Went to Lake Worth Pier for bait, Got some nice ones on the sebiki. Both sardines and ballyhoo.

I have a spot just north of the pier but the brother says lets stop shallow and get a grunt or something for a bigger live bait. I say whatever Im in no rush. So I tie a guppy rig for my son to fish with to keep him busy.

He ends up catching a 35" cobia, nice...... in 45 ft of water.

Then we catch several bonies(bonitas) and blue runner.

then we move to deeper water and drift the same drift 5 times using live baits and dead sardine. The current was ripping to the north  pretty good.

We ended up with a small king, a yellow tail, a huge porgy and the cobia. We released a shark, saw many huge turtles, caught some rainbow runner .

Was a real nice day fishing with two of my brothers, my son and niece.

7/1, between Lake Worth and Jupiter, fed a live well full of sardines to Bonita with BFTs jumping all over, got nada out deep and skunked on the usual mutton holes.

Dad reported a repeat today.

Can't get away from boneheads!

The Sea Mist III (drift boat) took their friends including me and my family out on the 4th of July to watch the fireworks. When I told the mates I ate the chubb they nearly fell out of the boat in laughter/disgust.

Edit:

it was a chubb not a porgy as I mentioned in the original post.
