Fished the flats in the Banana River Sunday from 12ish -2:30ish. I had about 20 live shrimp. It seemed like the strong east wind was keeping the fish up against the east Mangroves in the calm water.

Caught 4 little Reds, 1 top of the slot Red, 5 decent Trout, and broke off on a piling by a Bull Red.

I just found fishing this december. Went out w/ a local guide a few times, who gave me 3 - 4 lessons and I'm now hooked. I normally use SHRIMP, but just started using Top Water Lures.

Caught my first keeper trout on topwater this Saturday! Was STOKED!

Havent caught any snook yet, but I heard, they give a nice fight! Cant wait to land one . . . :-D

Sick, nothing quite like Top Water. Wait till you have a little tarpon blow up on a top water a little later in the year.
