Out of Port Canaveral. 50 ft of water. 3-8 feet of vis at best.

fish blood with 3ft visibility in 50 feet of water would scare the piss out of me. You are my hero.

That brings back great memories from years-gone-by down there. We spearfished all over the Port, under the bridges, around the jetties, and around the anchor chains. Glad that someone is still enjoying the diving like that down there. :-)

Hey I got a question. I would imagine it's hard to tell the exact size of the fish underwater so what if you spear it and its over or undersized? I assume the same rules apply for spear fishing right?

Same slot rules apply, plus you are not allowed to spear certain types of fish. I have a 48 inch speargun. I used a sharpie and made a ruler on the speargun so I can measure the fish underwater after I shoot them to make sure they are in the slot. You really just have to use your best judgment. Also keep in mind that things appear bigger underwater.
