What's with the deck padding in the back?

Sticky Bumps pad was on it when I bought it. I actually removed the deck pad toward the center of the board and only left the tail pad. It is actually so light for a 9'0" that the tail pad feels ok surfing off the tail and you could actually get this longboard vertical in the right section.

That's a single-fin setup, right? Is it an epoxy pop-out (by Tuflite, etc...) by any chance?

I'm actually looking for a super-light longboard in the 8'6" to 9'6" range, but considering a thruster/quad setup.

(Yes, oxymoronic, but I don't have a really lightweight, maneuverable log in my quiver. Would love a 9'0" with the weight of a Coil. )

regularjoe-It's actually custom shaped, not a pop out. full single center fin box with removable side bites. I've ridden it with a 5" very flexy center fin and the side bites. It is also remarkably light. I'd guess about 15 lbs. I normally ride fiberglass from maybe 23 lbs up to 30 lbs. I also wanted something 9'0 on and very light. It's a beautiful board, shipped custom from walden in CA about 15 months ago. Text me if you'd like to see more pics. 3524670014

Will do. Might be in the CB area Friday morning. I didn't see sidebites in the photos on Walden's website (I do now), but I like the way they work on my current 9'2" bulldozer.
