I got this board off a friend in a trade and haven't used it. The board is a Fiberglass 9'8 Gordon & Smith Pope Bisect and is in good condition. For those who don't know what that is it's a longboard, which comes apart in two 4ft sections for traveling and can be put back together when ready to surf. I'm also told that it rides well in small surf which are perfect conditions for longboarding. The parts which hold it together are a 2ft hollow aluminum rod and two FCS tightened brackets which clamp the two halfs together and are all in good working condition.

Also, I'm told that many of these are worth well over $1000, but am happy to let it go for much less as I need the cash. Make me an offer if you're interested. These boards are getting rare as they are no longer in production, but the parts are still available online if you ever need to make any repairs or get replacement parts.

Send me a message if you want to see it.

Not trying to hi-jack your thread but Longboard House has a used one on their racks as well.  I didnt catch the price, I am almost certain yours is cheaper as their prices are a touch on the high range (prime real estate aint cheap!).

I knew a guy who rode one, he liked it.  Awesome travel board, probably can escape the rediculous airline baggage fees.

Nice board...Sector9 is right, boards getting hard to find in good shape. Jose is on the money as well about board fees, I have had several over the last 15 years and never paid any stupid "board" fees ( you just tell 'me it's a display!). They travel & surf well, I used mine from Africa-to CR-to Hawaii. They set-up in about 5 mins and the average surfer (me) cannot tell the difference in how they surf.

Ps.....Karl Pope originally made boards in the 60's with a guy named Tom Morey, before Tom split off to try this crazy idea called a "Boogie" board

I love mine I own a 9-6 Harbour Banana.

I  payed $1200..I had mine permanently in my truck for like 3 yrs, so I can go surf from anywhere at any time when I was a salesman on the road. I've taken it to Costa and Spain, and never payed fees. I find it impossible to tell the difference from a standard board.

bump. You can buy the modern version online from Australia which I think after shipping comes out to be around $1600. The new ones however are popouts and this one is a handshaped G&S.

I'm not a collector, but I understand the board is very rare. $850 OBO. Also, I'd be impressed if you can find another one for sale online in the USA, but if you do let me know. I too want to know what this board is worth.

Sorry, I'm past the golf cart phase now... I'd trade for a nice longboard, kiteboarding setup, or cash...I had some offers in the past but they were lowballs. $750?
