Greetings, I am posting this on a mobile device from one of my secret spots that I drove to for supposed "epic" swell. It was my understanding that at precisely 12:00PM, 4/8/12, the winds would die down to roughly 8 mph; It is now 12:01PM, 4/8/12, and the winds remain the same speed as they did on 11:59AM, 4/8/12. My question is, "are we being lied to?" Many times have I paddled out on "offshore" winds only to discover that what I thought was offshore was actually onshore, or even sidechop.

This is unacceptable.

Anywho, to combat this growing issue, I have decided to open up my own surf forecasting site. The website will be called www.pierownagesurfrules.com. I plan to have REAL wind directions and speed, as well as cameras, pictures, and access to my private buoys with a Premium subscription of $9.95/month.

bet 1000 dollars you update this "website" for one week and then stop... my hats off to all the guys that update the surf report websites day in and day out (wavecaster, 16streets, cfl surf, quietflight and this very site) they put the time in for little to no pay off. they check the buoys, the winds, swell period and make a far more educated forecast than you ever will. chill out and be thankful for what we got. just stay at the pier and "own" it bra.

iwindsurf.com has great up to date wind reports for the entire state that are accurate.

 

For someone who talks about surfing so much, you sure don't know much about forecasting do you? Learn how to gather and cross-reference information. One surf report alone does not make a forecast.

What's wrong with your website? I had my credit card and bank account routing numbers ready to go...
