stop in at Neilsons and check out the Blunt its a Mini Simmons shape that realy works on our waves. I'm 6'2" 210 lbs and I normally ride a longboard but I managed just fine on a 5'5" Blunt but if I was to order one it would be 5'11". I believe he has 2 trade in's on his used rack.

5'10'' is huge!! im 195 lbs and i ride a 4'11''......you wanna ride simmons style boards smaller rather than longer....I had the 6'4'' originally, then moved to a  5'6'' Bing Mini Simmons.....rode great, but knew it felf too big. I shaped myself a 5'3'' Simmons, and found i could ride anything i wanted still! So smaller i went. The 5'1'' was the smallest in length, however very thick. Once mastering the 5'1'' i graduated to the 4'11''. Its perfect.

You can go really short or 6'4" they will ride pretty much the same its just the 6'4" with catch waves easier. A true mini will have almost no tail rocker so what does it matter if its 5' or 6' one is just smaller and easier to DD and the other will paddle easier and catch waves sooner. If its a matter of having a super short board to throw in your car I get it, but in the range your thinking it won't really matter they will be really similar. No matter what you will have a BLAST on those things I have a 6'6" from Jim Phillips that I love
