This board is a work of art. It's 5'8" x pretty wide x sorta thick (not sure on those last 2). Anyway, it's Larry's take on a Mini Simmons style board. It's got brown resin tint, volan cloth, marine ply twin keels and an old skool leash loop. I would like $450 for it...firm. No low ballers as I'm not all that sure I really want to sell it anyway. Will post up a pic later. Thanks. Dan

That answers the question of what you get the person who has everything.  Very nice and you gotta love that resin ting volan.

Dan, I have a beautiful Mayo 7'2" island style singlefin I'll trade you. It's waxed, but not ridden because I have another one like it. Even though these are gunny, they have a fair amount of volume and work great in chest + groundswell.

I have a 5'6" tug. It goes anywhere and rides everything. Please dont let the size worry you. One my favorite boards. $450 is a great price! Someone going to be really happy.

Hi. I'm kinda fascinated by these mini Simmons type boards but not sure if it would work for me. I'm 5'10, 195#s and usually ride a longboard or a 6'10-7'4 tri. What's your take on the way this board would work for a bigger guy like me in comparison to bigger more traditional shapes? I'm worried if I bought it it would be too small and I may not be able to get into any waves on it.

Length is not the end all for floatation...it has more to do with placement of foam as opposed ot overall length. These boards (minis) are short(er) and many people are scared of that but the truth is that if the foam is placed in the right areas you can ride a much smaller board. I am 6' and 165lbs and my go to board right now is a 5'0" twin fin and I can catch almost anything over knee high. That said, 195lbs might be a touch heavy for the board I am selling but don't be afraid to try something smaller than 6'10"...just make sure the geometry is right for maximum floatation.

I'm not in a rush to sell this so more than likely I'll have it at the Fish Fry and if anyone wants to give it a whirl they are welcome to do so.

turning jap: if the board really is the same concept as the mini simmons then you don't have to worry about length of the board. The simmons boards cut off the length but made the board thicker and wider than the average boar that size. Plenty of flotation. Im 5'10 and only 130 but I can easily float a 5'1 if that helps.

I can't tell too much by the pics but it does look like Mayo was recreating the same concept with the displacement tail and such. Looks like the fins are a little closer together than on the simmons though. Anyways, definately worth a look, nice board!

I believe the 5'8" will float you. I am betting it is 30" wide. Larry cuts the tug down from a longboard blank. Ride it at the Fish Fry you will be hooked (please forgive the wording)

Does "Quarters" apply to this situation like at a video game machine?!

I'll be in line for a whirl if I may.

Of course. I'll have my 5'0" twin fin there and the Tug. I may not be able to stay all day though, but if you catch me while I'm there you are more than welcome to take it out for a few.
