I have heard this story, don't know if it's true,

that Nat though the original would be improved by "more strings".

And, after the posthumous duet between Natalie and Nat,

backed by the London Symphony Orchestra,

Natalie said (off mike?) "Enough strings Dad?".

I heard this on a Pandora station the other day and it was a flashback to being young. It's now one of my favorites. Hard to belive that oice came from Gomer.

It may get better, but it's kinda hard to imagine.

Great stuff!  Tis' truly the season!

Jim Nabors always seemed to have a veneer of truth to him and yet he was hiding something for so long.  Great clip

the Nat and Natalie clip is beautiful

I can't listen to songs like this when I drive. The music is so beautiful I reflexively close my eyes to listen. That ain't good behind the wheel.

I really like the YoYo Ma album "Songs of Joy and Peace".

Here's the James Taylor and Yoyo piece from that album,

a really cool clip I think.  Christmas music?  You decide.

And Cole, yes, I save that stuff for the "good stereo" at home. Haha!

Love the Rasta Christmas!

Great thread Greensleeves.

An unbelievably beautiful and well crafted collection of classical guitar christmas tunes is by the Boccherini guitar quintet, please give it a listen
My favorite christmas song is the bittersweet "I heard the bells on Christmas day".
I was unable to post the file for the Boccherini Classical Christmas Guitar record, but it is readily searchable on youtube
Merry Christmas
