The first ones are up on the same album.  Today's were less interesting than yesterday's but needed hardly any editing.

I'm hoping low tide will bring better-breaking waves.

Afternoon brough more ridable waves, but they were low quality.  Lots of of talent, lots of waves caught, but apart from Logan Hayes' caffeinated antics, didn't amount to much, so no more photos until tomorrow.

Nice. It’s doable outside in Jupiter at a few spots, meaning it’s not breaking as far out as it is at the Juno Pier where it was at least 15’ this AM. I surfed the inside at the Jup Inlet with 50 of my closest friends and it was ok... prob head high but fairly choppy.

Hey everyone, I'm curious about Vero's South Beach.

Last week I was driving home to Gainesville after visiting family and friends in South Florida. As I usually do, I traveled up A1A to do surf checks.

I've stopped at the two other areas in Vero before, but never South Beach. I saw the signs that said "No surfing." All that was happening there was shorebreak anyway but I did see a peak breaking on the outside maybe 50 to 75 yards north.

I didn't paddle out because the conditions were not good and I had just spent an hour or so in pretty good surf at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park. But for future reference -- because I enjoy checking out new spots -- is the northern peak the spot that people refer to when surfing South Beach? And if it does break on the outside by the parking lot, is the "No surfing" ban strictly enforced?

The beach park area is usually closeout territory. There is usually a very modest rip current and sometimes usable waves opposite the south volleyball poles.
To the north, Riomar Reef shapes everything. On a NE swell, sand will be moving acrosss that reef, creating some kind of sand bar fairly far out, and normally not of much use. But the shorebreak can, for short periods, be good.
Fort Pierce Inlet is by comparison a pretty reliable, useful break. To me, it looks and feels like Jacksonville.
I think the Flickr links are still good. I re-edited the photos.
