Not to put a damper on the enthusiasm over the survey, but would someone please explain who, or what, "kwout" is? Since they're the ones releasing these favorable (to the Dems in Congress) results, it might help if we knew just who they were.

kwout is a way you quote a part of a web page as an image with an image map.
But the poll was from ABC/WaPo. Found via Matt Yglesias, a pro-Democratic blogger. It's also a bit dated.. ------------------------- "The truth is incontrovertible. malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." -Sir Winston Churchill Edited: 12/30/2007 at 08:55 PM by WG |

Thanks, WG.
Tell me: Didn't I read on here a few days ago that polls (surveys, whatever) aren't accurate, and that they're not worth much? Of course, when the results support one's particular view, I suppose they're very valuable. . . It seems the libs are still struggling with that "vast Right Wing conspiracy" that Hilary seems to think is her great nemesis (and one she's quick to blame when she's asked a question she'd rather not answer). Tell me there wasn't a "right wing conspiracy" against Bill Clinton.
Polls are accurate as long as they say what I want to here. ------------------------- I was right. Edited: 12/31/2007 at 06:24 AM by Cole |

Well, of course there was, Cole. Those questionable land deals, the "Travelgate" mess, all those women saying Bubba harassed them ---and in one case actually raped her--- the dead body found in the White House, the lying before the Grand Jury and the Senate (not to mention the American people). . . yessir, investigating and prosecuting them was only because there was amassed this great Right Wing Conspiracy.

Travelgate is worthy of investigation, but going to war for (insert reason here ______) isn't?

Travelgate is worthy of investigation, but going to war for (to divert attention from sexual affair in the oval office with an intern) isn't? Darn, wrong President (and war) And I'm pretty sure he was charged with Perjury, not a BJ. Which is not a crime, unless you ask my wife. ------------------------- but then again, what the hell do I know? |

The rightwing radio guys had a fit when twelve or so men died in Somalia, and more than that die every month in Iraq (sometimes each week).
What a mess our country has become over the last seven years. Bush will have a legacy of failure, corruption, and a legion of sheep who will be more ashamed than the Nixon supporters. ------------------------- Dear Lord, please help me to be the person my dog thinks I am---popular bumper sticker. |

So Clinton's well executed strike (no American casualties) was wrong, but Bush's war for (fill in ______) was right? But then again, your type of effed up logic put us in this position in the first place. ------------------------- I was right. Edited: 12/31/2007 at 03:09 PM by Cole |

Of course, when the results support one's particular view, I suppose they're very valuable. . . Yep, that's why any time I tune in AM 540 or 580 I here someone shouting how bad is Congress' approval rating in polls and how it is the Dems' fault. In light of that, it is an entertainment value when another poll comes out that finds the poor approval rating of Congress is blamed on Bush and the Republicans by the poll voting public. ------------------------- ... |

Yeah, nothing is getting done because Bush won't let alot of the moronic moves from the democratic congress be passed. That's why nothing is getting done.
