You poor kids should work harder.

"Father Christmas promises to visit every well-behaved child on 24 December but it turns out that only the children of high-rolling parents are able to visit him in his Swarovski crystal-encrusted grotto in Harrods.

The Knightsbridge department store has been accused of "behaving like the Grinch who stole Christmas" by restricting access to its Father Christmas to customers who have spent at least £2,000 in the 170-year-old shop...

...The store, which is owned by the billionaire Qatari royal family and made a £171m profit last year, has now agreed to allow 160 lower-spending families the chance to visit the grotto."

Supply and Demand... You limit the supply and then those not invited (those not likely to have gone there or spent money there) suddenly demand to be allowed to shop in your store? I know that's not how supply and demand has traditionally been defined but a lower supply seems to have increased demand for their products. You have been played... Because they made it an exclusive experience, you, on behalf of everybodyelse demand to be allowed to give them your money in exchange for their overpriced merchandise... HAHAHA now you have the Liberty and Privilege to shop at prices that are injust.... Brutal...

I don't want the kids to shop there, I don't want places like that to exist in the first place.

Capitalism is particularly cruel to children, who are taught fairy tales about magic elves and angels, and in the end it's all bullshit and there's nothing but the golden calf of profit that they worship.

I went to buy a bagel at Harrods, but declined after seeing the 18 pound price tag. I waited an hour and got a nice fish and chips at the pub across the street for 7 quid. I did spend $35 on a golf towel though.

I was right.
