She killed it. I love how they didn't even know what it meant.

That's when you see it's not just a witty retort, it's a battle cry. It's the pithy recognition that the boomers have a durable resistance to their ways and they will not discuss any change. The younger people know that they won't convince them so they have to make these changes now for themselves without the boomers. We will be hearing a lot more of this.

Boomers are the generation who took everything and left nothing. Truly the "me" generation.

No surprise that you would like that. Adopting a stupid, meaningless phrase to avoid having to make a we'l reasoned argument is right down your alley, isn't it?

If the stupid dinosaurs could have stopped driving their gas guzzling SUVs then we might still have a land bridge to Russia!

Boomers: It's the millennial's fault, and the refuse to get off the couch and do something.

Millennial: *gets off the couch*, *starts protests*, *gets involved*, *starts to fix what the boomers created*....

Boomers: THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!!

Exactly. The kids are woke AF.

Boomers grew up in post WW2 economy where a blue collar job could pay enough to buy a house, wife to stay home with kiddos, and little johnny could go to college working summers.

You what it's like for the kids now in "gig economy"? Kids are helping each other anonymously with rent payments, car repairs, all kinds of mutual aid. They are fighting for their bread.

The boomers gave us the civil rights act, the beginnings of equal protection for women and LGBT people and much more. But that was when THEY were young. Now they are old and threatened by the youth, by change and by new ideas. Of course, not all of them, but their legacy is not just a broken climate, refusal to change with the times and a startling resurgence of populism, nationalism and racism, its that and much of the positive progress too. But the millennials have seen the numbers. They look at the numbers and see that the boomers are making decisions for them that they will never be around to correct or appreciate how wrong they were. Climate is the biggest one.
