We taxpayers have footed a literal hundred million dollar golf bill and he wants to forego a salary that wouldn't even cover one of those golf trips? Only someone who never paid taxes and thinks only suckers pay taxes could do that. Imagine that the wealthiest people that spend money like this actually believe that using all this taxpayer money stimulates the economy in a way that actually increases the taxes collected. SERIOUSLY, there are people who believe that shit. They believe that the less money you tax people, the more money you will receive in tax revenues. They treat this absurd proposition as true, beyond dispute and worth defending from threats domestic and foreign. That or they don't believe it and are just self dealing and trying to sabotage a government they don't want to financially support or pay.
