It looks like the poll numbers for impeach and remove are at 50%. The bet now is that once that gets to 60%, the GOP will abandon their defenses of him.

It appears that Nunes vomited the entire buzzword of three years of GOP talking points. The GOP has doubled down. There is no floor to how low they will sink in their complicity. My theory about them sprouting spines and standing up to Trump is based upon the Public's perception of this impeachment. If the general public think that he should be impeached and removed at 60% or higher, those same people will think that the GOP are the new deep state thwarting their will.

I was right.

Jim Jordan, the attack dog that was supposed to go for the throat ended up setting the stage for what will probably be the most memorable zinger of the proceedings. "The one person who knows the most is Donald Trump and we have a seat waiting for him." Mic drop. Meanwhile, trump is inexplicably meeting with Erdogan and publicly claiming he's not watching his ship rip past the iceberg and take on water as he literally tweets out segments from his fan boys. It's not a great look for them.
