Got plenty before work today. Took yesterday off. Like it should be!

Advil required just to get out today, shoulders shot, sun burned, feet blistered, jellyfish stings, reef rash, broken fins.
Caught reef road empty and clean with building swell yesterday, the most fun I've had in a long time.
Got a choppy bomb at another spot just south last night, rode it right into a suddenly exposed rock ledge.

Well. I buckled my Mayo egg. The creamsicle. I got backwash bump launch and landed ass first on the deck. I thought it was nothing at first until my next wave when then buckle sliced my toes getting up. So bummed. It was big and heavy. Fun too. But that's just the breaks. I too and fried sunburnt, my shoulder is reminding me that I didn't even bother with the Pt and the nut rub looks like it happened with sandpaper. Thursday I will rally again at a certain cove. The toes are superglued and the Advil is working.

James Weiland has the reefer rd pics from yesterday afternoon on Instagram. It was just three of us for about an hour with real punchy shoulder high cylinders zipping down the beach. Went back in the evening, overhead but wonky.

I might have my beloved mayo if I had gone there. There is a lesson in here that I am sure I will not be learning anytime soon. Time to literally pick up the pieces and have Larry make that magic board again.
