Trump wins again. It appears to be a great idea too. Which means that progs will hate it (just watch). Progs hate anything that improves the lives of our citizens or the condition of our country. And before you ask, no, I am not tired of winning yet.

My HSA sucked. My deductible was $7,000 and total family out-of-pocket was $12,000.

I paid more than $50,000 in medical bills over a five year period.

P.S. An HSA still costs more than $12,000 a year in the open market.

Company funded. Company chosen.

Nothing to do with the ACA, well, other than having to cover you cholesterol loving Trump zealots.

Sorry that you had to incur medical bills in that amount. Hope everyone is doing well. Usually, HSA's are but one option that you can choose. I have chosen that route because I don't get sick. So far, I have built up a pretty good sum in my HSA, but it's a gamble.

BTW, the plan mentioned is not an HSA, as that concept has been used in the past. The employer deposits money that you can use to buy insurance. That hasn't been the case previously.

See, Clayton, no one cares about that. What they care about is what is being done. This was a good find on my part and it shows Trump moving things along in a positive direction. If you harbor dreams of being some sort of literary critic, I wish you luck. But most of us would ask that you keep your dreaming out of our threads so that we can have a serious policy discussion.

tspank thinks an opinion piece in a corner of the crap net is evidence of a great twitler accomplishment

Nothing has been done of course thanks to tspanks other poster boy Mitch McConnell

Mitch doesn't want tspank's crush to hurt the party anymore than he already has. The senate not only blocks anything that the Democratic party puts forward, they block anything that the reality show jack a$$ in chief dreams up

RIck Scott is in charge of the healthcare rewrite! Ha!

My health care costs $2400 a month just to get someone to stick their finger in my arse once a year. I still have to pay extra for that. YOU ESSAY!

That whole article is supporting hsa from the employers perspective. Not the worker.
Careful what you wish for.

In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer".

I'm still ready to negotiate the GRAND DEAL! Give us a great medicare-for-all system, legalize the HERB, no wars and he can build the wall Put big TRUMP signs all over it, and big TRUMPCARE signs all over every hospital. I can't believe Pelosi hasn't approached him on this.

It would indeed be nice to completely divorce health insurance from employment, because it would facilitate career portability.

You could buy one insurance policy from one provider you like (private or a government-run public option competing against each other) and keep it forever.

Person A should be able to purchase the same policy at Person B for the same price, not granting Person B a discount because of "volume buying" via a large employer or association.

If lifetime limits were reinstated, people would be less inclined to get all the free care they can after meeting the current year's deductible, and save the reimbursement for when they really need it.

The current system incentivizes abuse, because they make it a contest to see if you can get as much care as you're paying for every year.
