That is in accord with what I have been saying for a long time. If you can figure out what progs are advocating and do the exact opposite, you will be doing the right thing 90% of the time. Once I put that philosophy into practice, I have grown happier, wealthier and healthier.

I listened to that and it was very interesting. Seems every action has a reaction. That being said, plastic is far from a good thing for our environment.

"The best policy, Taylor says, imposes a fee on both paper and plastic bags and encourages reuse."

And don't put a liner in every little trash can in the house.

True, a plastic bag is a plastic bag, no matter the source.

Thanks for the clarity. People, use single use plastic bags. They are the best use for the environment.

Interesting... I used to have the reuseable "tote" publix bags, but they washed away in the hurricane flood.... then I got plastic for awhile but reuse all of them for trash, etc.... lately been using paper, but stuff them in the few "reuseable totes" I repurchased. You can reuse the same paper bag several times (or bring them back for recycling)

I got two of the hemp bags from Surfrider, and they tote all my goodies just fine. If I forget them, I use the plastic but I reuse for trash and dog poo.

The only way to get people in general to switch or remember to bring the reusable bags is charge them for plastic. Consumers have been conditioned that way.

I got some really cool reusable bags from a grocery store in Colorado. They hold a ton of stuff, but roll up nicely into a small ball and fit into the pocket in my back seat. It's become 2nd nature to grab a couple of them before going into publix.

Those reusable totes are unsanitary as hell, btw. You and your children are more likely to die from that than from the torrent of pollution that has been unleashed since Trump came to power.

More pollution, huh? I thought you guys were environmentally conscious. Thanks for creating algae blooms and contributing to water shortages.

borax is pretty safe for both humans and the environment. it occurs naturally in lake evaporation deposits. so as far as that goes, it is fine. the mining of borax on the other hand, probably not so much
