Just as Trump has a base that goes to deep MAGA roots, Bernie has a base of ultra-left socialists. Many voters may like Bernie's more "center" points but, a lot of his far-left base will certainly turn-off a lot of voters. In the end, there may be a lot of votes for other than Bernie or Trump. So far, my drinking hole prognosticators are torn; Some still love Trump, some just plain do not like him personally but do agree with a lot of his ideals, some hate Trump and will vote for anybody else, some are solid Lib Dems but Bernie freaks them out. So, in the end, it may not be a vote "for" anybody but rather a vote "against" a certain candidate.

Perhaps, although it seems the stage is being set for trump to try and hide the details of the report using his new AG.
The House my have to bring in Mueller to testify. I'm hopeful that some patriot will leak the full report. The American people deserve to know if their president is a crook. Democrats are entirely center right neo-liberals, that's not my opinion, that's a fact. They support capitalism, they support an aggressive foreign policy, and they mix in some support for labor as long as it doesn't threaten the economic interests that fund them as well as the Republicans. "Left" involves public ownership of the means of production, and the only one who comes close is Bernie, and it's still pretty watered down. Far left would be appropriation of private property in the public interest. I'm not sure you've got a good grasp of the spectrum Riddle, and that's not intended as an insult. I was a social democrat and I thought it was "left" until I did some reading and met some people on the "real" left. Now if you allow guys like Tpap to define your terms, then sure, anyone "left" of Idi Amin is a "leftist". So if we disagree with your fantasy; we are wrong? |
