John Morgan. He's a hard drinking, Democratic,, ambulance chasing slimey PI attorney; but he's got more money than gawd and he got you medical ganja.

Now he's got his sights set on boosting the FL minimum wage.

Nice!

"I remember South Africa in the late 70's, sleeping on the beach at J-bay, smoking ganja with the blacks. On weekends we'd go to the pub in East London to drink beer and fight with the Afrikaners. They liked to fight, I liked to fight. It was a good time"

Well, progs do like to kill the economy of where ever they are. So, I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

That's horrible news!

OK, so that's a no vote from Tpap. I'm of course in "yes" column, along with most Americans.

It would be for unskilled workers. Many will lose their jobs, get paid less, or not be able to get one in the first place. A $13/hr minimum cost jobs in Seattle. The net effect was that people earned less than they had before the minimum wage, 6% less. A $15/hr minimum in a lower cost state like Florida will have a very noticeable effect. These things have real world effects. Sure, it sounds good, but you have to look at the effects on the people you are supposedly helping.

They Said Seattle's Higher Base Pay Would Hurt Workers. Why Did They Flip?
Researchers whose findings last year pointed to a downside from raising the minimum wage have taken another look and the reality is more nuanced.

Just as always all of this is a Very Good Sounding Solution. BUT, as always, it is only a short sighted, short term, solution. Just like new taxes. It won't be too long before $15 per hour is a "poverty wage". This does not sound very humane, and such, but life on this Earth is based upon the survival of the fittest. The other, unspoken, sad, side of the "1984" thing is that the "unfit" will eventually have to be dealt with.

The facts show nothing of the sort. American workers have been losing ground for 40 years, and raising the minimum wage is only a small part of what it will take to set things right.

Ding is concerned about the need to eliminate the unfit, and that's fine with the left; we find those who profit from hoarding unpaid wages are unfit.
Nearly all the gains of increased worker productivity have been stolen by the capitalists.

Dang Ding, that is very Thanos-ish sounding. I hope you never find the sixth Infinity Stone!

I have to disagree with a high minimum wage being a good thing.....it should be free labor market and less regulation! Let em work!
