Fine, then even up the power of the vote. Why is a vote in Wyoming worth so much more than a vote in California?

Not sure why, but thank god it its true. If the people of California had their way, they would screw up Wyoming like they have screwed up their own state.

Population. It has to do with the number of people represented by each electoral vote.

The Electoral College is a block, or weighed, voting system that is designed to give more power to the states with more votes, but allows for small states to swing an election, as happened in 1876. Under this system, each state is assigned a specific number of votes that is proportional to its population, so that each state's power is representative of its population. So, while winning the popular vote may not ensure a candidate's victory, a candidate must gain popular support of a particular state to win the votes in that state. The goal of any candidate is to put together the right combination of states that will give him or her 270 electoral votes.
This keeps states that have a large number of electoral votes (large cities with extreme population in one small area) from taking an election. If the Electoral College weren't in effect, big cities with large dense populations would determine the outcome of elections. A candidate would simply have to campaign in the large cities and gain support only there! They would not have to gain any support in the rural areas or rural states to win.

Even President-elect Donald Trump, who benefitted from the system, stated after the 2016 election that he believes presidents should be chosen by popular vote: "I would rather see it where you went with simple votes. You know, you get 100 million votes and somebody else gets 90 million votes and you win."

How are you going to make a deal with a "no way" democrat house, when they know that if they give him his wall he will have fulfilled practically every one of his campaign promises in just over half of his first term in office? The reality is, this is the only president that did what he said he was going to do on the campaign trail. And by the way, the Washington establishment didn't pick this one, the people did. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

There WAS a deal in place. Trump was ready to sign it.

BUTT then Faux news (Coulter-geist) and Rush Limp-baugh cried out that Trump was being soft.

Next thing you know, Trump nixes tha whole deal.

Can't blame SH*T on those lefties when he takes credit for the Shutdown.

Nancy and Chuck should negotiate with Coulter and Limpballs. They are the ones with the real power. GOP is cuckold.
