When you've got Attorneys General?
https://news.yahoo.com/2-attor...a-trump-194213140.html The attorneys general of the District of Columbia and Maryland plan to file subpoenas Tuesday seeking records from the Trump Organization, the Treasury Department and dozens of other entities as part of a lawsuit accusing Donald Trump of profiting off the presidency. The flurry of subpoenas came a day after U.S. District Court Judge Peter J. Messitte approved a brisk schedule for discovery in the case alleging that foreign and domestic government spending at Trump's Washington, D.C., hotel amounts to gifts to the president in violation of the Constitution's emoluments clause. "We're seeking to confirm the information that everybody already knows: Trump's violation of the emoluments clause of the Constitution," Frosh said. "He's received numerous payments from foreign governments and state governments and they've been funneled, at least in part, through the Trump (hotel) in D.C." Then there's the new york federal district courts......... You're right, nukeh2o... Incoming New York attorney general plans wide-ranging investigations of Trump and family Don't worry, Drumpf-sters, if he's not guilty of anything, they won't find anything! New York Attorney Gen.-elect Letitia James says she plans to launch sweeping investigations into President Donald Trump, his family and "anyone" in his circle who may have violated the law once she settles into her new job next month. "We will use every area of the law to investigate President Trump and his business transactions and that of his family as well," James, a Democrat, told NBC News in her first extensive interview since she was elected last month. James outlined some of the probes she intends to pursue with regard to the president, his businesses and his family members. They include: Any potential illegalities involving Trump's real estate holdings in New York, highlighting a New York Times investigation published in October into the president's finances. The June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with a Russian official. (who just made a plea deal with the Federal prosecutor) Examine government subsidies Trump received, which were also the subject of Times investigative work. Whether he is in violation of the emoluments clause in the U.S. Constitution through his New York businesses. Continue to probe the Trump Foundation. "We want to investigate anyone in his orbit who has, in fact, violated the law," said James, who was endorsed by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. ------------------------- GOP: Gaslight Obstruct Project |

Claiming to be singled out while admitting to breaking the law is tough sell. Good luck with that. Manafort had Trump arguing that for him, meanwhile the two in cahoots to provide Mueller's questions to Trump, lie about Trump's involvement and give Manafort a pardon. There is a word for that and its not selective prosecution.
