136,000 protestors is nothing to take lightly. Looks like the frogs want to have their cake and eat it too. Looks like they want government to pay for a lot of things and provide a lot of things, then they freak out when the government takes the money from them to do it.

What's to talk about, a bunch of babies throwing a fit because they pooped their diapers and want someone else to clean it up for free?

100 people would be a "bunch". 136,000 is something different.

"Both groups (left and right) had used social media called on their supporters to turn out at Saturday's protests."
Both groups were likely initially manipulated by foreign actors, also using social media. |

So it is your belief that 136,000 feable minded frogs did not believe in what they're protesting against, but instead checked Facebook that day and decided to riot because the "Russian bots "told them to?Yeah, that makes total sense.....

136,000 is impressive. Especially compared to the 2017 Women's March, "The Washington March drew 500,000 to 1 million people.[24] Between 3,267,134 and 5,246,670 people participated in the marches in the U.S." It's on Wiki. Donate your three bux while you're there.

It doesn't sell. The US media companies are raking it in with all of the trump stories. It basically saved Fox, CNN, MSNBC etc... because pre-trump they were all heading down the shitter. These are fist and foremost BUSINESSES

Because progs cannot grasp the significance of world events, let me explain this situation in simple words. The French are protesting a fuel tax that was put in place to arrest global warming. It has now been scrapped. Thus, there are two significant take aways from this. First, we are all going to die due to global warming caused by the French cancelling the fuel tax. Second, if you progs think that the people of the world are going to put up with all the additional taxes and costs to pay for your plans to prevent global warming, you are crazier than even I think you are.

I've been following it for awhile. They are pissed about a gas tax. The tax is to fund fixing global warming, but they feel it puts undo pressure on the working person and gives a pass to the wealthy. It sounds familiar, doesn't it.

You won't find Madonna, Katy Perry, or Harvey Weinstein in this crowd. ------------------------- "The government who robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul," - George Bernard Shaw “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f—k things up.” - Barack Obama “End of quote. They are also pissed that Macron's actions benefit the wealthy, hence his 26% approval rating.

The American attention span is woefully inadequate for the French uprising. It's fundamentally a class struggle. But one lesson for Americans might be "direct action gets the goods".

I though from the OPs, the magnitude was of interest and I like scale for comparison to help me understand. From the video posted, did not watch thanks, I guess I was wrong and it's the violence that drew your attention? Perhaps Unite the Right, 2017, for scale? I think I'm done with this one. Ugh.

Gotta love that socialism thingy, really making the masses happy It's not socialism to ask the working class to suffer while something like 100 corporations who produce 71% of the carbon emissions are rolling in the dough. ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |
