Many nations have something similar.

I know, we don't have the money.

Judging from our deficit, it seems we have money for everything else though.

Here's a start, take back the tax break for the 1% who already couldn't spend what they had.

How do the other countries do it?

I know they are taxed more but.....the people make more too.

Look around, see those Canadian snowbirds here pulling their big RV homes with the big pickups.

How can those "socialists" afford anything?

Forget it, keep paying for those $6,000 deductible health plans that cost $1,000 per month.

Government does some things well. There are also a lot of things that our government does not do well, or effeciently. The idea of free healthcare sounds nice but then you look at the DMV, the VA, and even the USPS. The USPS does a great job getting things where they need to go but how's the customer service? There is always a chance the government might knock this one out of the park but if you look at their track record for managing complex organizations, with many moving parts, with a smile on their faces, I would say that the odds are definitely against improving the quality of care we have today.

Bullshit.

It'll energize our economy.

New investment, jobs, spinoffs

.

Show me that you understand the science, the range of projected scenarios.

Zero net corbon emmissios are vital to minimizing global warming to less than 1.5 C. If we don't it's gonna cost us a lot.

It is not science. It is economics.

Moreover, there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop the temperature rise if that is what is happening. Nothing. That is, if the U.S. cut its carbon emissions to zero today, it would have no material effect on the temperature rise that you clowns are predicting. So, instead of spending trillions on a futile effort, we need to save it to deal with the consequences.

We know the positive economic affects a large concerted national effort can produce. You claim it would be bad with zero evidence. You are also wrong about how much getting to zero would help, and how much it will cost if we don't. Economics say do it. Basic human compassion says do it.

Medicare isn't free healthcare Snipes.

IMHO, I think the government does great with Medicare as do the health insurers with the Medicare Advantage programs.

Actually, jumping on to the climate issue is admirable, if ill timed. Pelosi is useless. Ms. Ocasio is new, and has some ropes to learn.
But: she is tough, focused, intelligent, and educated.
And kinda darn cute.
Of course, progblo, of the marinara sisters comedy act, calls attempts to do something about climate change disasters liberal, and "prog".
We've offered to introduce him and SwishFish to those libtard Captains for Cleanwater. So they can express their pro rick scott views. Im sure it will end well for them.......

Ms ocasio cortes: you go girl

You start. Provide us with facts as to how much it would cost to go 100% renewable in 10 years. While you are at it, show us evidence that it is even feasible (it isn't). For the record, I am by no means against renewable energy. I am in the process of installing solar at my farm and am also looking at wind turbines. It makes sense out there for several reasons. That doesn't mean it makes sense for every situation.

Yep, it went downhill when their funding was cut. Less employees means poorer service. Been to a Home Depot and needed help lately? Same thing.

Seriously sniper, can you really bitch when you voted for and back the party that created the problem?
