The Weather Channel has turned into a joke, one guy walked across a dry parking lot then splashed in a puddle on the low side to show the depth of the flooding, then a guy tossed a palm frond into the wind and it fell at his feet. Cantori looked pissed that the place wasn't getting more shredded.

I saw a picture of Anderson Cooper doing that as well. Walked into a ditch to get a shot of the flooding. Don't get me wrong, the flooding in NC is horrible, but these sort of things are sensationalism at its finest. Fucking sad.

The media def have been exaggerating the weather for decades - no 'revelations' there - long before we started talking about 'global warming'.. Fighting for ratings and more advertising dollars - that's how the media will always make a living & profit, from newsprint to digital / on line.. That being said, There IS a lot of water out there - and mixed in with it will be a bunch of piggy poop.. Will literally really be a shitty mess in many locations.. Many of those same areas have has 'smell' issues for decades without having a flood on top of it..
