But they did it. They profited spectacularly. In no small part from the Chinese, which is probably why Ivanka thought her botched quote was Chinese. It's a perfect metaphor for their obstruction and profiteering. "Those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those doing it." It really epitomizes the trumps, even down to the incorrect attribution.

It's a democratic hoax

Ironically, people in sensitive jobs can't have ZTE phones, even as personal phones.  LG, Samsung, Motorola...all are A-OK but not ZTE.
