Interesting, I've just begun the process for Italian citizenship and I don't speak it beyond a very limited vocabulary and crappy grammer. They no longer require an Italian language test.

My mother has dual citizenship Irish/American. Gaelic is once again being taught as a required subject in Irish schools.

surprised you are choosing italy

they are quite right wing (for europe at least), have a history of facism, anti-immigrant, racism is fairly common
