No, the RINOs, you people, are trying to take over and remake the party in the Dixiecrat image. Bushes and the other stodgy northern WASPs are the real Republicans. My grandfather was one. He hunted and fished until the day he died. He was management at a major shipbuilding company for 44 years. He had three kids and a dog, went to church every week, served meals on wheels to the "old people" even when he was 80 years old. He never raised he voice and he never brandished or bragged on his guns. Hell, he wore an actual sport coat with patches on the sleeves to go birding. He and the Bushes were nothing like the loudmouthed foul mouthed intemperate redneck louts that have become the southern base of the party. He quit the NRA about the time Sr. Bush did, as did my brother and I. Promoting hunting, safety, education and ownership rights is one thing. Attacking federal law enforcement and such and promoting paranoia and near anarchy is quite another. It became clear that NRA was just in the business of literally scaring up business for arms makers. That was the end for us. ------------------------- ... |

The old school GOP is almost entirely to blame. They courted these idiots with the "southern strategy" so they made their own bed. They kept them placated with platitudes from Reagan to recent. They'd nod to the wants of the rednecks and radical religious folks at election time but not actually do much legislating in that direction. They kept most of their business with business and the war machine. The chickens are really coming home to roost now. I warned of it when the DHS Bullet and other similar conspiracy theories were running rampant. The GOP was totally complicit and in a lot of cases encouraging of the theories as long as the general anger could be directed at Obama. I told them that they were feeding a Frankenstein.

That piece of shit said that the National Weather Service created the Moore Oklahoma tornado with chemtrails and magic radar technology and the Republicans said nothing and then they elected a president that wasn't only silent but that endorsed Alex Jones and his people. The chemtrail and HAARP conspiracy theories are stupid on the level of Flat Earth and Moon Landing Hoax theories and Alex Jones espoused them. Or course Trump is a Birther so what should we expect.
