This is quite probably an acknowledgment that his assets are dirty. The feds have a strange soft spot for the wives of criminals as long as they believe that they didn't participate in the crime. They often let them keep the house, cars and jewelry and take the obvious stuff. That subpoena is only getting more info and putting douchey on notice. They probably got most of his financials with a patriot act letter, and I do not mean a letter to a patriot. The subpoena just brings it all in and makes everyone forget that banks are legally obligated to share all of your account information upon request, do so secretly and give real time updates if necessary. No warrant, no magistrate and no probable cause necessary. A letter styled as a request, a request that absolutely legally demands bank records and a reminder that any failure to timely respond to the request will have immediate and dire consequences. I have problems with the patriot act for this reason but let's be clear, the reality that there are absolutely no protections against bank searches is a tool necessary to stop terrorism. Lil Donnie is not a terrorist. He's a product of lazy money, institutional fraud and semi organized crime. The patriot act is being used beyond its purpose and goal to stop terrorism. The subpoena makes it look like they still need his records or that they don't have anything. There is literally no way the feds don't have everything already. I guess getting criminals instead of terrorists by going fishing patriot act letters with is just a byproduct that we accept because it's snares money laundering elephant "hunters" as well.
