Greens facts about crime (statistics)

1. Violent crimes have fallen sharply

thank you American gun owners

2. Property crimes have declined significantly

thank you American gun owners

3. Americans perception about the numbers of crimes is wrong.

BUT also in the (statistics)

5. Most crimes ARE NOT reported AND most crimes are NEVER SOLVED

It seems like the Americans belief about the real numbers of crimes is true and their perception is correct if most crimes are never reported

4. there are Large geographic variations in crime ststistics

No shit Sherlock... Quit trying to FIX places that are NOT broken. Fix the places that the crimes are happening in... By trying to Ban weapons everywhere you are NOT addressing the problems of the specific crime ridden area.. Address the problems, Take the stick from the bad kid not every kid, because some of kids are just using the stick to hit a ball and they have every right to do so.

There are things called statistics:  http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/01/30/5-facts-about-crime-in-the-u-s/

But I know the some people squad find math and changes in their racist, misogyinistic social fabric hard to comprehend

BUT these statistics PROVE gun ownership has lowered the crime rate. I forget who posted this link but thanks for proving our point...

Let me clarify just so that the point is not lost:

By trying to Ban specific weapons you are NOT addressing the problems of the specific crime ridden area.. Address the problems, Take the stick from the bad kid not every kid, because some of kids are just using the stick to hit a ball and they have every right to do so.

Remember, these are undeniable, indisputable statistics that state the problems are in specific areas and that most crimes are never reported and never solved and that most crime is in a downward trend WITH the laws we now have in place.

Certain weapons are banned from personal possession in the United States.  So we actually already go there.

Also "undeniable, indisputable statistics" show that countries that have restrictive gun laws have lower crime rates.

My guess is with an economic upturn crime rates could go down. Not sure about the correlation there.

Twilter cutting FBI funding isn't a good idea in combatting crime is it? But y'all are probably are too excited to take your afternoon nap about that huh?

Problem with piecemeal city or venue regulations/gun free zones is that there is a giant pile of sticks just across the city line. It is too easy for bad kids to walk over there and pick up a stick.

Those areas you say have no violence problem and thus shouldn't be regulated are supplying Chicago with sticks.

Well, until someone comes up with a way to ensure no criminal elements or insane people willing to do great harm can no longer find ways to get their hands on "assault rifles", taking them away from sane, law abiding citizens seems rather pointless. Still not sure what assault rifles are legal to purchase in this country, because an AR-15 wasn't considered one until the media decided to change the definition themselves to sensationalize.

I also still laugh at people that don't understand the difference between defending yourself when you have no other choice vs actively seeking out a shooter. Allowing teachers to defend themselves when there is no other choice is not the same as asking them to roam hallways to seek out a shooter.

Lastly, some of you crackpots asking for laws to restrict firearms are the very same people saying fuck the police and calling them pigs while at the same tome expecting them to protect people that can no longer protect themselves. If you can't figure out why that is a problem, you have issues.

Well we have an even bigger problem than that. Even if unilateral gun laws were put into place, there would be millions of them in circulation already without even considering the rush to manufacturer and buy before any legislation went into effect.

Also, we can't keep people and drugs from crossing our borders ....we won't keep rifles from crossing either.

He'll no it wasn't!

LIAR!

I can see that you don't understand the LAW!

I am now to assume that the 1st Amendment was only written for information written with Quill pens and maybe news print!

That means that your form of communication (the computer) is NOT covered!

So is that cell phone you have!

ANY form of communication OTHER than quill pens and newsprint is now NOT covered by the 1st Amendment...by your decree!

IDIOT!

That has worked perfectly so far.

The one shot rifle argument is stupid and one you really shouldn't make because it shows that you don't understand the intent and purpose of the 2nd. Learn from the example provided by some conservatives when they argue from a position of ignorance about the environment. You are doing the same exact thing.

Who said anything about doing nothing?

ONLY YOU!

Lets start by FIRING the 4 Sherrif's Deputies that derilicted their duty by standing out in the SCHOOL PARKINGLOT while Cruz killed those 17 kids!

Then lets FIRE the Lead Sherrif Israel because he promoted the actions of his officers and HID the fact that they did this...on NATIONAL TV while he lambasted the NRA!

Israel needs to be FIRED also due to the FACT that he IGNORED the 37 times HIS men went to the shooters home on domestic violence charges....AND DID NOTHING!

Then we need to FIRE all those people in the FBI who did NOT respond (DID NOTHING) when the 3 credible reports came in about the shooter!

Then we need to REMOVE the current BIDEN 'NO GUN ZONE' law that is currently on the books!@

Then we need to allow teachers that want to legally carry a firearm on school property! (assuming they are trained properly and pass a psyche evaluation).

We need to further HIRE retired Veterans and LEO officers to also be on campus to protect our children!

That's a good start...ASSHOLE!
