Sen. Rubio says he would support raising age to buy rifles

Rubio, the lone Republican at CNN's "Stand Up" town hall Wednesday night, said he would support laws barring those 18 and under from buying rifles, support changing the background checks system and getting rid of bump stocks, which allow semiautomatic guns to mimic fully automatic fire.
Good for him! I agree!

and yet....he can't say "NO" to the almighty dollar...

Student survivor to Rubio: "Will you reject NRA money?"

"Sen. Marco Rubio defended accepting contributions from the National Rifle Association, telling a Parkland school shooting survivor that the NRA's influence comes from the membership it represents."

"Jeers from the crowd overwhelmed the discussion at several moments as Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Cameron Kasky pressed Rubio not to accept donations from the pre-eminent opponent of gun control legislation."

"When Kasky kept asking Rubio whether he would continue to accept the NRA's contributions, the senator said that was the wrong way to look at it and that people "buy into" his agenda."

""In the name of 17 people, you cannot ask the NRA to keep their money out of your campaign?" Kasky asked.

Rubio said, "I think in the name of 17 people, I can pledge to you that I will support any law that will prevent a killer like this from getting a gun," but he did not say he would refuse the NRA's money.

That was uncomfortable to watch, that poor bastard was getting worked by the kids.

I will credit him for showing up.

The star of the show was Sheriff Israel when he called BS on the NRA bitch.

That man could have a political future.

I cannot posses a swtichblade or springloaded knife, but i can own an AR-15, as many as I want - a tool designed for the military with the sole purpose of shooting the most amount of people in the quickest amount of time. Now we are going to 'raise the age' - we just keep pissing in the wind. Fucking absurd...

Btw, Obama and Bush would have had the sack to show up last night...

thebernreport.com/hillary-clinton-the-hypocrite-takes-money-from...

Hillary Clinton lacks ethics and is taking money from the NRA. She lacks the "honesty" needed to be President of the United States.
