I think you're gonna have your own problems with this. I lived in Northern Alabama a few years many times and it got spooky for long periods from storms coming from the south. At least here on the coast, we have the benefit of being near our beloved ocean. But since Edgar Casey said this was the safest place on Earth, you guys can come up here, but bring weed.

We're ready.  We have several cases of water and everything else. Generator, food, you name it. My only job now is to collect all the lawn furniture and put it in the garage tomorrow in preparation for Monday night and Tuesday. Atlanta will get winds and lose power here and there. Nothing major.

The day after everyone in my town will load a truck with unused water and send it to Florida (if we don't need it).  One guy has an 18-wheeler ready to be loaded  

 

We have a friend near Naples who refused to leave. She and her 15-year old daughter are now all alone. Everyone else in the neighborhood left. My wife is really angry with her for doing that to her kid. She won't even go to a shelter and now it's too late.

Appreciate the offer, Mike. As it was, I weathered the storm in Satellite. Ironically, it was worse in Satellite than it was in Tampa. But, more exciting.

I never even lost power but LOTS of people in Tampa did. We were on the good side. I sent my fam to New Smyrna and the wind was stringer there, but they were in a better built home.
