Brought here as children, they work and study, keep their noses clean, and now they may be deported to countries they barely know.

Maybe Congress will act, but I'm skeptical.

Elián González (born December 6, 1993) is a Cuban national who, as a young boy in 2000....

Was returned to his family...

Did you support that action at that time? I thought it was wrong and that was when Cuba being socialist was a bad thing and we gave people sanctuary from the oppresive government of Cuba.

Now DACA is not people from an oppresive government but you say we shouldn't return them to family? but we should have returned the kid to Cuba? (if you did say that)

The dreamers rasied their hands and said here we are.  Now they are at risk.

The Elian Gonzalez affair has nothing to do with the DACA scanario.

Yup, one should have never trusted the PiC. He was an equal opportunity disaster.

A disaster is terrorizing 800,000 law abiding students and employees who were brought to this country as children and now could face deportation to countries they don't even know.

How about DACA people serving in the military?

Yeah, it's a DiC disaster all right.

Trump is the disaster. Pretty soon they'll classify him as a natural disaster, like a hurricane or earthquake. His admin keeps dropping like flies and he is tearing up the country like no one before. What a train wreck. Pure garbage. To consider Obama worse than Trump is utter ignorance or pure unsubstantiated hate. Only good thing about Trump is he makes me feel better about my vote for GW Bush.

Yeah, the PiC was doing the same until the 4th year of his presidency. Don't remember so much as a whimper from progs about the unfairness of it all between 2009 and 2012. But, anyway, the law is the law and these people must be booted unless the law changes.

Great timing.

There are many DACA's displaced in Texas due to the hurricane, let's pile on and give them this to worry about at the same time.

This couldn't wait?

Mr. Law and Order is a criminal himself but wants to shuck and jive while calling out people that know no other life than the one they have led here.

Talk about a black heart, damn.

I believe in prayer and I hope people played for his soul during National Prayer Day.

NO, congress was the root of this not Obama. The DREAM Act was in limbo since 2001 because of conservatives. 108th-109th congress Republican Majority. Again, you're just making shit up.

Now would be a good chance for Congress to do something bipartisan and pass the DREAM act into law once and for all.

These kids are Americans but for a piece of paper.

The DIC was singing a different tune on DACA in 2012

Thanks to archive-spelunker Andrew Kacynzski of CNN, we know that during the 2012 Republican primaries - when he was merely a reality TV star - Trump was singing a different tune. Asked on his favorite show ever, Fox & Friends, to weigh in on a squabble between Michele Bachmann and Newt Gingrich on immigration, Trump rejected the notion of throwing out a family that has been here "for 25 years" on the basis of "compassion."

He wasn't in charge of enforcing the country's laws then. For all you know he has the same position now.

Case study in the lack of leadership. Another punt to congress so he can deny responsibility.

I have heard that some hollywood types are opening their homes to some DACA kids. Thats compasionate I guess, unless they mow the lawn and clean the house as a return favor, then its unpaid labor..

If they don't have a job and I give them a room out of compassion and they happen to clean the house and mow the lawn of the house they are living in, there is nothing illegal is there??

I don't have to pay them to clean the very house I'm letting them live in right?

Well a ploy to get lawn care and house cleaning for next to nothing isn't out side of the scope of progs.

The real question is are YOU on drugs?
