"The sharp decline in how much global publics trust the U.S. president on the world stage is especially pronounced among some of America's closest allies in Europe and Asia, as well as neighboring Mexico and Canada. Across the 37 nations polled, Trump gets higher marks than Obama in only two countries: Russia and Israel."

"Modi's affectionate-bear style of handshake combat has totally overwhelmed Trump's moray-eel style," one handshake watcher noted on Twitter.

"What a move from Modi. New take on the anti-Trump handshake," another commented.

Trump didn't have time for the gorilla shake. That was a smooth move from Modi.

I hope so. Our approval rating around the world goes up only when we have an ineffectual pussy in the White House. It goes down when we have a president that is making the country better.

It happened for 8 years, only just ended this one
America had a president that we could be proud of, that the world respected.

That was real wasn't it?

NO, it wasn't real...

They did NOT respect him, thats why they Loved him as President. The United States was in a decline as a world power, that opens possibilities for their own governments and economies to fill in the gaps...

A weak America is loved by many peoples in the world, they blame Americas greatness for their declines. They never look to their own socialistic policies as the cause.

Russia and Israel respect strength...

We still had 10 aircraft carriers. Good diplomacy is not weakness.

Unless you are bombing Libya. Then, of course, you are wrong.

This is a nice view into the con mind, everything is politically relative. If trump is president and the USA was held in high esteem internationally, you would be posting about how America was great again. Instead we are held in low esteem and it's because they don't like a strong America. It's all bullshit, whatever happens you'll rationalize it using ever more stretched and twisted logic to try and present it here as some sort of a win for your team.

It's great entertainment for the rest of us real Americans, until someone gets hurt. Trump may stumble into a war somewhere and then don't come crying to us.

Bad diplomacy is weakness. Let me remind you progs of some of the PiC's glorious failures -

1. Being pushed around by Russia in respect to arms reduction talks, Ukraine invasion, Syria, and letting them hack our gov't and interfere with our elections. (Wonder what the Russians had on the PiC. Must have been a doozy.)

2. Being pushed around by Syria. Red line in the sand, anybody?

3. Being pushed around by Iran. Disasterous agreement, where he paid them billions to release a couple of hostages and agreed to release a bunch of hard core Muslim terrorist.

4. Being pushed around by N. Korea.

5. Being pushed around by China. New islands?

6. Allowing ISIS to grow unimpeded and spread. Remember that "JV team?"

Yeah, those are great; excellent use of hyperbole.

I do agree that invading Iraq and cozying up to human-rights-deficient strongmen are far superior uses of diplomacy. Just to name two.

And the Russians are surely on the run. Just look at their jet fighters running away like scalded dogs.

Russia is one of the few places where they like trump. But they are used to authoritarian dictators.

We are the Alabama of the world now.
