"Nobody in their right mind would say that raising the minimum wage to $25 an hour would have no effect on employment," Autor said. "The question is where is the point where it becomes relevant. And apparently in Seattle, it's around $13.""

"on average, low-wage workers earned $125 per month less because of the higher wage, a small but significant decline."

Who would have thunk it? Actually, quite a few predicted it. And that study underpredicts the harm. Those people who were priced out of first time jobs may well suffer for the rest of their lives. Gov't history of trying to overturn economic laws/principles is not good.

It's good to see the experiment playing out. If it's too high, it will be reduced. It's the same as when it was too low and had to be raised. This is the progress that happens.

Nice, lets experiment with peoples livelyhoods and see how it works...

Hey, lets fuck with their health care and see if we can play that out...

I guess it is legitimate that the voters put Republicans in office to try their experiment now that they realize that the Liberal experiments cost was too high.

Time for another group of elected official to try experimenting with our jobs and with our health...

Thats progress...

They saw a problem and are dealing with it, that's the way things should work. The ACA wasn't an experiment, it was never given a chance.

Do you Republican believe there should be no minimum wage?

The GOP would never support a minimum wage. They don't support health care, they are against basic environmental protections, they want to relax food safety processing rules because they are bad for businesses, they want to prevent people from being able to sue companies when their products hurt or kill and they believe credit cards at 30% interest are just dandy. These are the same people that will gut our schools and free education, they will treat education like they did with private prisons and they will have made their money by the time their con implodes. These are the same people that never pay taxes but lobby for special interest incentive tax breaks. They want to educate America's workforce without a college track or civics courses for jobs like coal that won't even exist in a few decades. They are nostalgic for a past age of manufacturing that is being automated out of existence. They are fighting for coal at the expense of green energy and the jobs that it would bring. They are the people that can't believe gay people are allowed to marry and they use their religion as a sword instead of a shield. They all grew up with a living wage. They still believe in a low wage that used to reserved for entry level work and increased exponentially so that you could own a house, cars and send your kids to college. Now they are old and believe that they are part of the cynical wealth creators and they need to protect their piece of the shrinking pie from naive beggars. This is their return to power and the comfort of being able make racist jokes in public again.

No it won't. Your resident communist, Sanders, will still advocate for it as will all the progs. Progs never learn and never admit that they blew it. Never.

Personally, I am glad that all those progs lost their jobs. Serves them right for being bone-headed. Being dumb should have a price.
