Y'all are employing exactly the tactics that I would want to see. I have made that clear. That isn't going to stop me from offering my insights here, however. As you point out, no prog is going to act rationally. Well, some Congressional dems have been for some time. Their butts are on the line so they have a strong incentive to act rationally.

My guess would be warrior/territorial culture vs. uh...maybe pre-conflict hunter-gatherer?

If I were planning Dem strategy I'd point out that the refugees fleeing Syria are mostly women and children (at least those are the ones we should take), and I'd remind the citizens that as Americans we are the kind of people who will take a personal risk to save the helpless, and I'd put faces on the suffering.

And the first R to talk back I'd label them a coward like they deserve. These are the kind of people who would let an injured person die on their doorstep; too afraid to open the door. Americans I know would arm themselves and head out.

Who do you want to be? A hero or a pussy? What would your Jesus do?

My responsibility is to the citizens of this country. I don't owe anyone else anything. We have people in this country starving. We have people in this country that are homeless. Give them food and give the shelter ...then you can ask for help for others.

I feel bad for anyone who is so tribal that would turn their back on women and children fleeing war because the came from another land.
