It worked. Reagan got the ball rolling. Progs were vehemently against it. Progs are always wrong.

Do you actually think Reagan was the first to promote ABMs?

Eisenhower and Kennedy really got the ball rolling for ABMs.   Reagan promoted lots of stuff in the DoD and DoE world, not just ABMs.  Most of those projects dropped by the wayside, while others were pursued.

Not all Democrats were against it, and not all Republicans were for it.    But at least we had presidents who understood the world theater and worked with congress.

King Orange can't even agree with himself. What a fool.

This was developed the entire time Obama was in office, yet Trumpablo gives credit to ronnie raygun.

It appears our dear barrister is waaayy overdue for a holiday.

If it was really easy (as some on this thread think) then stuff like this wouldn't happen.

Yet cons were ready to bet the farm on it 30 years ago.

Computing ballistic trajectories is easy, right?

Cheater must have thought it was because they made a movie about a woman who computed them.

FYI, something as basic as a knuckleball is more or less unpredictable. Let me know if you want to know why.

But I guess hitting an ICBM is just common sense.

Maybe we could design a Tim Wakefield launcher....thing would be unhittable.

I met Wakefield at a fundraiser a few years ago; really nice, humble guy. Lives nearby.

I also used to catch (3rd string) in HS for a pitcher who threw knucklers. Only Kim Jong Un is more evil than a good knuckle ball!
