"No Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under [the United States], shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."

The purpose of this provision is to prevent foreign influence or corruption. "Emoluments" from foreign governments include "any conferral of a benefit or advantage, whether through money, objects, titles, offices, or economically valuable waivers or relaxations of otherwise applicable requirements," even including "ordinary, fair market value transactions that result in any economic profit or benefit to the federal officeholder.

Many of the Trump Organization's extensive business dealings with foreign governments, businesses owned by foreign governments, and other foreign leaders violate this ban.
As a result, since he did not divest his business operations before inauguration, he has been violating the Foreign Emoluments Clause since the moment he took office"

and:

"The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be encreased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them."[11]

This provision, which is not waivable by Congress, is designed to prevent corruption, as Alexander Hamilton explained:

"Neither the Union, nor any of its members, will be at liberty to give, nor will he be at liberty to receive, any other emolument than that which may have been determined by the first act. He can, of course, have no pecuniary inducement to renounce or desert the independence intended for him by the Constitution."

President Trump has chosen to continue owning businesses that receive government subsidies and tax breaks in violation of this provision."

One post per hour isn't enough for this topic, until the lying sack of shit is gone.

Another fail for you sure isn't required, yet you continue.

He might not go, but stalling his agenda will suffice.

I have said before: I don't think he will get impeached. I think he will resign. Running for President was just an ego builder for him. Mission accomplished. I don't think he ever even thought about what it would be like to actually govern as president.

Now the heat is on. He is challenged at every move. The referendum is coming with mid terms in '18. If he has any integrity or hope of salvaging himself and family he will resign.

I don't think he will be impeached either.
He's a Republican.

At this point makes you wonder how much Republican Senators and Congressmen
( women) want to be associated with him.

I have not heard much from Cruz. Little Marco seems to be separating himself. McCain and Graham seem very opposed.

So, if, say, a foreigner bought one of PiC's books, the PiC should have been impeached? Boy, I wish you progs would have spoken up earlier on this. Even Biden couldn't have screwed things up as much as the PiC did.

I am just sick and tired of winning. Trump told me this would happen by his first 100 days. Sick and tired? Sure. Winning. Not even a little bit.

We're winning every day jack. Sounds like you're the one whining.

Lock him up! LMAO.

Given the amount of prog rage, I'd say that Trump is doing just fine.

I think you may see the real rage on display when the tax plan goes down in flames.

He can't get an EO to stick, he can't pass legislation with his whole team in charge.

It's pretty funny except for the real risk of war in Korea out of the shear frustration of the president's impotence.

I think it was just this week that Cruz proposed a bill that would use El Chapo's money that was confiscated to build the border wall. El Chapo was said to have $14 billion and he is being extradited to the U.S., so it is possible. The lefties will find a way to oppose this because they don't want to stop illegal immigration, so naturally they would want this process to be as painful as possible.
